how we work/engineering teams

Senior engineers in your sprint. Not your org chart

You pick the stack. You run the process. We bring senior engineers from a network we have spent years building across Europe. Scope agreed in two days. People at work in two to four weeks.

The problem you're solving right now

You have a backlog that grows faster than your team. Hiring takes months. Your last agency sent you a "senior" engineer who needed hand-holding by week two. You don't need a vendor. You need people who can read the codebase, join standup, and ship, without you explaining what a pull request is. That's what we do. One consultant or five. Your tools, your rituals, your repo.

What we are (and what we're not)

We are

A network of senior engineers we have built carefully across Europe. We bring them into your team, your standups, your Jira, your CI pipeline, and they work as part of how you already build software. You pay for the work they do, not for the buffer most agencies build in around it.

We are not

The agency that picks your stack and tries to own your architecture. The delivery shop that walks away with your codebase. The recruiter who collects a placement fee and disappears. The cheapest option. We are priced at senior European rates because that is what senior engineers cost. You set the requirements. We find the match.

How it works

From the first call to a senior engineer in your standup. Here is every step between.

1. Scoping call

Thirty minutes, no slides. You tell us the role, the stack, the seniority, the team dynamics. We tell you whether we can actually deliver. We turn down roughly one in four requests, and we will tell you on this call if we think you are better off with someone else.

2. Candidate shortlist

Typically within eleven working days we come back to you with a small group of candidates who already match the brief. Every one of them has been through our technical assessment, reference checks and a communication screen long before they reach you, so the conversation you have with them is about whether they are right for your team and your situation, not about whether they can actually do the job.

3. Your interview, your decision

You interview the people on the shortlist and you decide who joins. We never send anyone you have not approved, and we never push a candidate because we want to close an engagement. If none of the shortlist feels right, we go back and find more, because the cost of the wrong hire on your side is far higher than the cost of a few more days on ours.

4. Embedded in your team

Your tools, your standups, your repo, your way of shipping code. Our engineer works as part of your team rather than alongside it, which sounds like a small distinction but is the difference between someone who actually moves the work forward and someone who quietly creates more of it for everyone around them. Once they have been inside the work long enough to see why things are the way they are, they will start pointing out where something could be done better as an honest observation you would expect from a senior engineer.

5. Ongoing quality

We stay in the background once people are in your team. Regular check-ins on both sides, watching for the small signals that something is not quite right, stepping in early if it is. If a fit is not working, we say so and we change it. We strike a balance with managing the people we have placed so it does not get in the way, but still keeps things running smoothly.

What we source

We're not limited to a fixed roster. Our network covers most modern stacks, and we source specifically for your requirements.

Python, Java, C#/.NET, Go, Kotlin, Clojure, Node.js, Rust

When this works best

Four situations where the embedded consultant model outperforms every alternative.

Capacity spikes

A product launch, a compliance deadline, a new feature stream. You need two or three senior engineers for six to twelve months, not forever.

Competency gaps

Your team is strong on the backend but thin on data engineering. Or you need a DevOps specialist your local market simply does not have.

Scaling without hiring

You want to increase output without taking on the overhead, timeline and risk of permanent hires. Get experienced professionals integrated into your workflow on short notice.

Post-acquisition integration

New ownership, new platform goals, same team. You need extra hands to execute while the core team absorbs the change.

What to expect in your first 30 days

Week 1

Our engineer is asking more questions than they are writing code. That is correct. You are watching a senior person build a real picture of your codebase, your team dynamics, and your priorities before they start changing things. The onboarding track is running in parallel: access, documentation, introductions.

Week 2

The first commits land and work starts moving faster. Something will surface in the parts of your codebase nobody got around to documenting - that is normal. What matters is how quickly it gets understood and resolved, because the person doing it has seen variations of the same problem many times before.

Week 3

You have stopped registering our engineer as something separate from your team. They are in standups, in pull requests, in the Slack threads where the real decisions get made. On most engagements, that moment arrives faster than anyone expected.

Week 4

The engagement is working. The output is there. The team has absorbed the change. Seven in ten engagements run longer than the original end date - not because we lock anyone in, but because teams do not want to let our people go.
