Our client is a global leader in life sciences and analytical technology, serving research institutions, healthcare organisations, pharmaceutical manufacturers and biotechnology companies across the world. A significant part of their portfolio is scientific software — enterprise platforms that help laboratories manage, analyse and automate data and workflows, including Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN) and broader lab informatics tooling.
Scientific software at this scale is complex territory. The products sit at the intersection of regulated laboratory environments, enterprise IT infrastructure, and rapidly evolving data and automation requirements. Building and scaling the right teams inside these divisions requires people who understand not just the technical stack, but the domain context — the workflows, the compliance expectations, and the pace at which research organisations need software to move.

We placed a senior Engineering Lead with the technical depth and leadership experience to operate inside a complex, multi-team product organisation. The role required someone who could hold technical standards, drive delivery across squads, and navigate the specific constraints of regulated scientific software environments.
We sourced Product Owner and Scrum Master profiles suited to enterprise product teams working in highly regulated domains. Both roles required a level of domain awareness — understanding how laboratory workflows, compliance requirements and scientific end-user needs translate into product decisions and sprint delivery.
